My Tips to Get Good Grades

Posted by: WittyRuby on: November 8, 2008

I’m writing this entry for myself, as I often forget my tips from previous tests to use in my next test. It’ll be great if you find them helpful for you, too .

To get good grades:

  • When I study, study to get 100%…of course I never finish my studying to be confident that I could get 100%, this is just to motivate myself, KEEP STUDYING)
  • When I’m about to take the exam, imagine that I’m gonna get only 85% and still feel ok with that —> relax –> less anxiety, better grade.

So, the idea is to convince yourself that it’s ok to get a lower grade than you expected, RELAX ^^…

(Don’t be too relax that you on the exam like me once , I got bad grade for that one for being too anxious at first, and too relaxed at last. I find out I got 100% any time I did not want it badly, wish I could be calm and got luck more often.)

Don’t change my answer if I:

  • have no idea about the topic
  • don’t have a really good reason for the change

Change my answer if I:

  • recognize I misunderstood the question and find the other choice correct
  • find a part of my first choice is wrong

If I think all options given are wrong and can’t choose one:

  • choose the one that even if it’s wrong, it’ll do the least harm.

If I think all problems given can be right to be serious:

  • Choose the one that is most acute and require immediate attention (usually mental status involved)

If I have no idea about the topic:

  • Eliminate those answers that can be in the same group (lab tests for the same purpose, same group of disease…), look for common points

Will add more if I can think of something else . Do you have any tip that can help me? Please share them .

The human brain, when properly functioning, is a complex mass of protoplasm capable of staggering mental feats. So what causes eventual memory loss or cognitive decline? The answer is complicated. Some things we know about, others are speculative. A 2009 study appearing in the journal “Neurobiology of Aging” suggests that some aspects of age-related cognitiv […]

  • Anti-Aging Medicine – Hope, Hype Or Hucksters? November 8, 2009
Anti-aging can be a difficult topic to address because it has a number of different common meanings and connotations. Each is championed by a particular group or coalition of interests which define their terms in ways that can make the subject confusing. For the scientific community, anti-aging research refers exclusively to slowing, preventing, or reversing […]

  • Sure You’re getting Older, But Are You Aging Well? October 25, 2009
Someone once said that all human beings, from the earliest age, are on a slow road to death. By that it was meant that we have a limited lifespan which eventually ends, though many young people don’t seem to realize it. Fact is, everything around us has limitations – beginnings and [...]

  • Don’t Take A Vacation From Health October 14, 2009
I just came back from a ten day seminar with a very enlightened view of travelling and health. Let me tell you, when you get 300 people in a conference room and two or three of them have a cold, an interesting phenomenon happens: quite a few in the room will get sick within the [...]
